VERTICAL PUMP - SPECIALLY FOR DENSE SLUDGE GEISER
Application area
This is the type of pump traditionally produced by the company Alfa. It was designed for emptying tanks sedimentation tanks, and, therefore, for moving especially dense sediment (up to 2 kg / dm3).
The pump is immersed in dense sediment, which falls into pumping unit casing, completely metal, with ducted impeller made of ductile iron. In addition, since the pumping unit is manufactured made of nodular cast iron, not rubber, pumps in the series GEISER can work for a short time even in the absence of liquid.
Feature of these pumps is the absence of an oil seal, which when contact with an abrasive liquid would have a minimum life time. Anti-abrasive rubber hose is used between the discharge elbow of the pump and the fixed anti-vibration system piping.
AXLE
A vertical axis pump with bearings in a watertight chamber, sized to allow the bottom of the shaft to be cantilevered without supports immersed in the liquid.
CONNECTION
By means of a two-piece flexible adapter with a protective cover.
BODY
Made of ductile iron with an upward suction opening to facilitate the flow of particularly dense slurry to the impeller.
DELIVERY ELBOW
With replaceable rubber coupling for connecting the pump to the discharge pipe.
IMPELLER
Duct type made of ductile iron.
EYE SUPPORT UNIT
Usually included because they are required for lifting operations.
PUMP RETAINER
Bracket for fixing the pump to the wall.
Approximate data for the pressure connection, varying depending on the nature of the liquid. Measured with water.
